Everything you need to know about admissions:

We have 60 places each year in our Reception classes. Applications for entry into Reception in September 2023 closed at 11.59pm on 15 January 2023. Applicants were notified of the outcome of their application on National Primary Offer Day, 17 April 2023.

If you missed the deadline to apply, contact Southwark Council Primary Admissions for advice.

Applications must be made via the eAdmissions website

For full information on how to apply please see the Southwark Council website

We are a non-selective and fully-inclusive community school. Pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan will be given special consideration based on their Plan, and Looked After children will also have priority admission.

Following these children, priority will be given to siblings of current pupils, and then children on the basis of straight line distance. This is measured from the child's home address to the main gate of the school building on Maxted Road.

Please see our Admissions Policy for full details.

Distance of the furthest address offered a place on National Primary Offer Day in previous years:

September 2023: 530 metres

September 2022: 660 metres

September 2021: 600 metres

September 2020: 300 metres

If you wish to apply to the Belham mid-way through the school year for any of our year groups you must complete an in year application form. This can be downloaded below:

In year application form

For full information on in year applications please see our Admissions Policy.

Please see our Admissions Policy for full details of our appeals process. You will also find information in our Admissions Appeals Guidance.

The school uses the eastings and nor things linked to an applicant’s address to calculate a straight-line distance measurement to the main school entrance. If a child lives in a block of flats where a communal entrance is used, the school will use the grid references for the block, not for the individual flat. When dealing with multiple applications from a block of flats to the same community school, lower door numbers will take priority.
