On Wednesday Year 5 classes, Silk and Velvet, travelled to Charter North to take partin a singing workshop with the VOCES8Foundation.

VOCES8 is one of the leading global vocal ensembles. Regularly heard on albums, international television and radio, the 2023 Grammy-nominated ensemble has been a mainstay in the music world since its inception in 2005. 

With its members having performed all over the world from the Sydney Opera House to the Berlin Philharmonie - and alongside stars like Paul Simon and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra - the Foundation came to Charter North to work with our famous Y5 Belhamites.   

Hosting an acappella workshop with the support of some helpers from Year 10, the children were treated to a masterclass in the power of pitch and rhythm. Representing The Belham's strong passion for music, the children even gave the VOCES8 Foundation members an sneak peak at their own performance ahead of Spring Showcase next month.
