Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Thank you to those who put forward comments and questions. Please see below:

1. Why is the Government funding free breakfast clubs?

The Government has prioritised breakfast care as part of its national initiative to support families and improve children’s well-being and learning.

2. Is the school receiving full funding for this programme?

We have budgeted to support this programme and are working closely with the Local Authority and the Department for Education to discuss funding. Attendance on census days (9th June- 13th June) will determine our funding levels, so we encourage as many children as possible to attend on these key days.

3. Do I need to book a place for my child?

No. The free breakfast club (8:00am - 8:45am) does not require booking. However, if you require early morning childcare (7:30am - 8:00am), you must book in advance via ParentPay for the half-term period.

4. How does my child enter the school for breakfast club?

Children must enter through the school office and arrive by 8:30am to receive breakfast.

5. Will the breakfast menu cater to allergies and dietary needs?

Yes. We will cater for allergies and special dietary requirements – we have these on file for children already.

6. Can parents contribute more towards the school’s paid breakfast club provision?

Yes. Some parents have expressed a desire to donate towards school funds. An optional contribution facility will be available on ParentPay.
